JoomGallery 4.0.0-alpha3 test release
- Details
The developers of JoomGalleryfriends continue to work diligently and voluntarily on the development of the future JoomGallery 4 for versions of Joomla! 4, Joomla! 5 and also for the upcoming Joomla! 6 in two years.
Unfortunately, there are only a few of us driving the development forward. We are always looking for help to make faster progress.
The third alpha version of JoomGallery 4.0.0 has just been released.
With today's release of the alpha3 version of JG4, we now need many additional testers to check the current state of JoomGallery 4 for possible bugs.
This version is compatible with Joomla! 4.x and Joomla! 5.x.
JoomGallery 3.7.0-rc1 Maintenance release
- Details
JoomGallery 3.7.0-rc1 is only a preparation for the migration to JoomGallery 4.0.
So that you can carry out the migration smoothly, we have integrated an additional check and another batch job into the Maintenance Manager.
The batch job corrects - where necessary - the alias and the folder structure of the JoomGallery categories.
This adjustment allows you to use the new directory structure in the new JoomGallery 4.x, which brings performance advantages in particular.
Without this customization you have to use the so-called "compatibility mode" in JoomGallery 4.x.
We have explained how the migration itself works on the following help page: Migration: Jg3ToJg4
If you have any questions, please use our support forum.
Note: Only use this version on a copy of your website to test the migration, not in a productive installation.
JoomGallery 4.x Survey
- Details
The development of the core features of JoomGallery for Joomla 4 (and newer) are almost complete. Soon we will be able to provide you with an alpha version, which will be used for integration testing on test systems.
We would like to take this opportunity to obtain the feedback of the users of our beloved JoomGallery. With the help of a survey we want to schedule the further development and make sure that important features and wishes are considered in the best way possible.
It would be great if you all could fill in the survey!
